Soundwalk (Blog 2)

      One day on my break at work I decided to escape my confinement in a large retail building on New York city’s most expensive avenue, 5th ave. This time was unique from my other breaks as I would be walking the streets of net York without any headphones (which was very difficult for a music lover) to listen to the sounds nested in 5th Avenue. Now, the first sound that came to were the constant blaring of car horns from inpatient drivers once the light turns green, which helps characterizes New York City fast and impatient nature. Once that settled down as I strolled, the sounds of camera shutters going off, chatter and a lot of swift movements were able to be heard in the background as they are keynotes to this area. As I walk through one of New York’s busiest street filled with tourist, workers, shoppers and etc… signal sounds can be heard from the subways (as there is always an announcement of a delay), NYPD signals, fire truck signals are all heard in this jam...
