One of the most crucial aspect I saw during Kobayashi’s meeting and her performance was the innovation in entertainment. It brought forward a new way to string an audience together and allow them to participate with the show, which I found fairly interesting. Now, the whole concept of “Say Something Bunny” demonstrates the various forms of media and entertainment that hasn’t been exercised or thought of which to myself resonates as creating new forms of entertainment or media is my “go to”. Also, the use of history to the main aspect of the show was interesting as it provides a more in depths and insightful experience for the audience, which also remind myself of the importance of history in my personal work as it creates a story for the audience and in all a stronger experience.

Artist Statement

My name is Jason Gil I’m a New York born citizen that moved to Florida at a very young age, however once the recession hit in the mid 2000’s I wound up back in New York City to spend most of my childhood and future in. Although, the transition was difficult it exposed me to various types of people and culture that one can not find anywhere else, which helps define a vision for me in my projects. My passion for film stems from a young age to watching various genres of films and if they are well-crafted their ability to evoke a certain response from the audience. This idea has always intrigued me as to what can make the human mind react in a certain way and what elements are being exposed to allow this response. As a young age I was always fascinated by paintings from Salvador DalĂ­, poetry, video games and other mediums that allow creative expression and let the mind wander.
